How to apply fake eyelashes?
The simplest way to apply false eyelashes is to press an eyelash strip just below the natural lash line from the center of the inner corner to the outer edge. You want to avoid sticking them on your actual eyelashes, but at the same time make sure that you don’t have too many false eyelashes or too few natural eyelashes. If you remove the false lashes, you risk damaging your natural lashes, especially if they are too close together.
You can opt for tweezers or a fake eyelash applicator, or you can use your fingers to do this for you.
Once your false eyelashes are stuck, you need to fuse them with your real eyelashes to give them a natural look. One of the easiest ways to create a seamless look is to use mascara to blend your natural and false lashes. You can also use eyeliner to conceal the false eyelash stripes, and then use your fingers to gently press in the lashes for extra lift.
Do not forget to place them where the natural mass of your eyelashes begins and press them with your fingers on the eyelash strips to get extra lift and some lifting in the false lashes.
Pinch and squeeze the natural eyelashes and false eyelashes together and squeeze the strips of skin between them so that they do not end up on the eyelashes themselves. I had them set so well that I started with mascara and used them just as well as the real lashes.
Apply the stripes in the middle of the lashline so that you do not get too much skin between the false lashes and the real lashes and not too little.
You can apply eyelashes with your fingers, but you want them to barely touch the skin and not the base of real eyelashes. Feel free to use tweezers to place the false eyelashes under your eye, and use grooming. Use caution and do not use them again until you have taken care of them all.
Even if there is no foolproof application when it comes to fake eyelashes with a lot of length, there are some tips that can help you avoid having to deal with eyelash stripes the next time you choose fakes. I have explained step by step how to use false eyelashes, including tips on how to correctly use tweezers and a short guide on how to remove them at the end of the night.
Do your eye make-up first and get ready for lush lashes for your next make-up look. Take each of them out and place them in the same direction as the other lashes so that they are not too close together.
Popups can be prevented by rolling up the fakes with your fingers or make-up brush after application. Adjust your lashes by squeezing and softening your natural lashes with the fake ones. Add a few glue dots to your make-up – as well as your fake eyelashes to make them last longer.
If you have already curled your false lashes before you apply them, you can make them blend seamlessly with your own lashes.
If you’re struggling with where to place your eyelashes, I suggests drawing a black pencil along your eyelash line. Then I suggest holding a hand mirror over your eyes to make it easier for you to see the eyelash lines when you look straight ahead. This serves as a guide to where to place the lashes and as a reminder of where to place them.
This allows you to mix your own eyelashes into the fake ones before applying them, and they blend in and look more natural. If you like, you can also coat your natural lashes with mascara when you apply them. Just a little tip to finish this: mascara your natural eyelashes and mix them up before you apply your fake ones.
Trim your lashes so that they fit your eye and apply a little glue to the entire lash line and let it sit for a few minutes to create a sticky glue look by placing it along the lash line. I suggest placing the center of each blink of an eye and then gently pressing down the inner and outer corners of the false eyelashes for better placement. If you are not sure if your false eyelashes feel comfortable on the eyelid, place the eyelashes on your eyelid to see if the stripe might be too wide and cut them if required.
Once set along the eyelash line, let it sit for a few minutes to make sure it adjusts properly, and then place it back on your eyelid.
Now you can enjoy your beautiful eyelashes!
